Twisted Polyester Rope
Twisted polyester rope has very little stretch or elasticity. Here are some general characteristics:
- High-strength
- Superior abrasion-resistance
- Absorbs very little water and loses almost no strength when wet
- Good resistance to ultra violet damage by sunlight
- Will sink in water
- Good snag resistance
- Harder to dye colors than nylon
- Not damaged by gasoline, diesel fuel, grease, mildew, or most chemicals
- More expensive than polyethylene or polypropylene but less expensive than nylon
