Hollow Braided Polypropylene
Constructed of monofilament (single) fibers of polypropylene braided together into a rope where the center or core of the rope is hollow (like a drinking straw)
- Very economical
- Easy to splice
- Will float in water
- Available in a variety of colors
- Resistant to most fuels and chemicals
- Will not absorb water
- Low stretch
- Stronger and lighter than hollow braided polyethylene
- Not quite as flexible as hollow braided polyethylene in very cold weather
- Ideal where a low cost, light weight, floating, rope is needed.
