Twisted Combination Rope (Polyester and Polypropylene)
- Manufactured by combining two different polymers together into one fiber
- Much stronger than traditional polypropylene – up to 30% stronger for equal diameters
- Will float
- Will not absorb water
- Resistant to fuel, most chemicals, and UV light
- Abrasion resistant
- Low elasticity or stretch
- Much more durable and lasts longer than standard polypropylene
- Will not rot
- Easy to splice
- Can be stored wet
- Ideal when a very strong, lightweight rope, with moderate stretch is needed – especially useful in a wet marine environment
